I accidentally burned my laminate kitchen countertop with a hot frying pan. Is there any way to repair it without replacing the entire countertop?
Very minor burns in laminate countertops can be scraped clean, but major burns require some surgery. I would never try to repair a hot frying pan burn, but rather I would cut a hole in the counter, removing the burned area, and replace it with a ceramic tile or wood cutting block. The best thing about this solution is that the tile or cutting block will in all likelihood be located exactly where the next hot frying pan is going to land, avoiding future burns.
